A new poster for Wolf Parade’s recent Ottawa show.

Love this book, great for ideas. Has all the insignia from army and navy air force squadrons. Some really random cool stuff. I see it up all the time if you’re interested in grabbing your own.

Saw this rad poster in our ‘hood while going for breakfast. Advertising an art series that pits Parkdale Public School students against Queen St. West artists. More info here. Poster designed by Cecilia Berkovic.

Here is a Tokyo Police Club poster we did for their myspace secret show. Posters were screened and given to fans who came out to the show. It was inspired by the line “Broken hearts tessellate tonight” from their song Tessellate
Boris // Jul 29, 2008

Our latest poster for the Boris/Torche/Nachmystium gig in Ottawa. These will be up in our store very soon. If you can’t wait to get your hands on one you can purchase them through the gigposters.com classifieds here.
The Holy Fuck print is also available there until we get them up in our shop.

I buy a lot of books off of ebay so I figured i’d start posting some of my acquisitions as they come in since it’s about as blog worthy as anything else. Designing Corporate Symbols was published in 1978 and is part of the Corporate Design Collection put together mostly by David E. Carter. It covers 140 or so symbols/logos with a brief write up on the logo along with information on it’s designer. Nice to find a logo book that focuses on quality over quantity for a change and it’s nice to learn a little bit about the thought that went into the design and how it related to the client. Especially since I have never heard of the majority of the companies whose logos appear in the book.

Flatstock 17 was held in conjunction with Pitchfork music festival this past weekend and despite starting out pretty wet it turned out to be a really great weekend. Happy to say we had our best Chicago Flatstock yet and are looking forward to no. 18 in Seattle this labour day weekend at Bumbershoot. We were fortunate enough to travel down with our friends Strawberry Luna and Hero Design which was hilarious and eye opening as they showed us how Americans ‘do’ when it comes to fastfood.
These photos were all taken by Josh Rickrun. The rest can be seen here

Hey All,
We’ve been super busy recently but we will hopefully be able to update the store and the site by the end of next week. We’ll be adding the Holy Fuck & Boris posters to the webstore as well as a new shirt design printed by our friends at Third Estate. Lots of good stuff going on for Doublenaut this summer so keep checking here if you want to hear about it all.
